PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caterpillar type mobile device with a function to travel on stairs capable of going up and down stairs of a plurality of layers with different angles safely and stably, going up and down slopes, climbing over an obstacle, travelling an uneven road, travelling on a flat road surface flexibly, and turning at corners of narrow stairs because of its small cubic volume.SOLUTION: The mobile device includes a fixedly installed first caterpillar and a fixedly installed second caterpillar that are connected to each other to be operated and make synchronous motions so as to be mobile on a work surface.
