Disclosed are 1, 3, 4,-thiadiazole compounds of formula one. Substituent R10 is either a pyridine or a pyrimidine moiety. Examples of a compounds of formula (I) are: 3-amino-N-methyl-N-(5-(pyridin-3-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)propanamide and 2-(aminomethyl)-N-[5-(5-fluoro-3-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]-N,2-dimethyl-3-methylsulfanyl-propanamide. Also disclosed are processes for controlling pests such as endoparasites and ectoparasites using a compound of formula one and compositions comprising a compound of formula one.
