The polyacetylene-based compound has three hydroxy groups. The polyacetylene compound has hydroxy groups at the third, 16th, and 28th positions. A pharmaceutical composition for treating and preventing cancer contains the compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an active ingredient.
