The present invention relates to a portable photodynamic therapy apparatus using ALA (5-aminolevulinic acid), which includes: a main body formed to be gripped by a hand, thereby obtaining portability a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) installed in the main body to radiate light having a wavelength of 400-500 nm or a wavelength of 600-700 nm to the outside a battery installed in the main body to supply a power necessary for operation of the LED and a power switch for controlling the operation of the LED by opening and shutting the supply of the power supplied from the battery to the LED, wherein the light of the LED is radiated onto a skin applied with an acne treatment preparation composed of ALA or an acne treatment preparation containing ALA to perform a photodynamic therapy. According to the present invention, the skin applied with the acne treatment preparation composed of the ALA or the acne treatment preparation containing the ALA is exposed to the light having the wavelength of 400-500 nm or the wavelength of 600-700 nm, thereby minimizing a side effect on the skin by selectively and effectively damaging a sebaceous gland, and improving an effect on an acne treatment.
