PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a soft capsule capable of simply producing a soft capsule suppressed of leakage of contents, without fear of lowering of disintegradability, and to provide a soft capsule produced by the production method.SOLUTION: This production method of a soft capsule comprises sealing an aqueous solution containing sugar or sugar alcohol in a soft capsule coat, thereafter supersaturating the aqueous solution containing sugar or sugar alcohol to deposit sugar or sugar alcohol, and converting the contents sealed in the soft capsule coat into a solid state.
