The invention relates to food industry, in particular to processes for nutshell cracking by sawing up thereof, and can be used in industrial processing of nuts.The process, according to the invention, comprises feeding of nuts from a feeding hopper onto a conveying means. At the same time, each nut is placed in the recesses of the conveying means with the possibility of rotation and with a projection with respect to its surface. The recesses of the conveying means are formed by a pair of parallel screws with coincident helical faces, installed with the possibility of synchronous rotation in one direction. The moving and rotating nuts with the help of screws are pressed and conveyed to the sawing zone. Sawing of the nutshell is performed by a cutting means in a spiral. Nuts with sawn off shell are advanced with the help of screws into the recesses of a pressing means and subjected to compression between the screws, and then poured into a receiving hopper for further processing. The operations of nuts feeding, movement of the conveying means and sawing up with the cutting means are synchronized with each other.Invenţia se referă la industria alimentară, în special la procedee de spargere a cojilor de nuci prin tăierea acestora, şi poate fi utilizată la prelucrarea industrială a nucilor.Procedeul, conform invenţiei, include debitarea nucilor dintr-un buncăr de încărcare pe un mijloc de transportare. Adânciturile mijlocului de transportare sunt formate de o pereche de şnecuri paralele cu faţete elicoidale coincidente, instalate cu posibilitatea rotirii sincrone într-o direcţie. Nucile în mişcare şi rotite cu ajutorul şnecurilor se presează şi se transportă în zona de tăiere. Tăierea cojii nucii se efectuează cu un mijloc de tăiere pe spirală.
