The present invention relates to an attenuated porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and a vaccine composition using the same. More specifically, an attenuated PRRS virus of the present invention is manufactured by alternate subculture using two kinds of cells. The attenuated PRRSV of the present invention can be used as a live vaccine by showing a high antibody level capable of immunological defending, maintaining and disappearing a low viremia at a level capable of causing immunity and not causing serious tissue lesions. The PRRS virus is deposited with an accession number of KCTC13120BP.본 발명은 약독화 된 돼지생식기호흡기 증후군 바이러스 (PRRSV) 및 이를 이용한 백신 조성물에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로, 본 발명의 약독화 된 PRRS 바이러스는 2종의 세포를 사용하여 교대 계대배양 하여 제조하였다. 본 발명에서 약독화된 PRRSV는 면역학적 방어가 가능한 수준의 항체가가 높게 나타나고 면역을 형성 할 수 있는 수준의 낮은 바이러스혈증을 유지하다가 소실되며, 심각한 조직병변을 유발하지 않는 등 생독백신으로서 이용될 수 있는 장점이 있다.
