PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool for fishing that comprises a spool having a spool body in which the generation of wrinkles is suppressed.SOLUTION: A spool mounted to a fishing reel comprises a cylindrical member that is formed by arranging a plurality of prepreg sheets in an annular shape and joining the end parts of the adjacent prepreg sheets by pressurizing and heating. The prepreg sheet 60 comprises a trapezoidal trapezoid part 61 having parallel opposite sides consisting of a long side 64 and a short side 65 a wide skirt part side extension part 62 extending from the long side 64 and mountain-folded at the long side 64 and a narrow trunk part side extension part 63 extending from the short side 65 and valley-folded at the short side 65. The cylindrical member comprises: a circumferential flange part formed by joining the end parts of the trapezoid part 61 with each other a skirt part side cylindrical part formed by joining the end parts of the skirt part side extension part 62 with each other and a trunk part side cylindrical part formed by joining the end parts of the trunk part side joint part 63 with each other.
