An immersion device comprising a submersible housing with at least two iridium-coated electrodes spaced apart from each other within the submersible housing is adapted to be immersed into the reservoir. The floor scrubbing apparatus also includes a control module electrically coupled to the electrodes, wherein the control module controls application of electricity to cause a first electrode to be positively charged and a second electrode to be negatively charged.
