PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an astonishing reaction measuring device for an animal capable of accurately measuring an astonishing reaction. An astonishing reaction measuring device 1 for animals includes a liquid filling unit 2, a cage 3, and a sensor unit 4. The liquid filling unit 2 is a container in which a liquid is filled, and has a flexible member 22 that comes into contact with the liquid. The cage 3 houses the laboratory animal and is attached to the outer surface of the flexible member 22. The sensor unit 4 measures the pressure change of the liquid in the liquid filling unit 2. The startle response measuring device 1 can accurately measure the startle response.
