The present invention relates to a composition for promoting growth of plants containing kraft lignin or a phenton reaction oxide of kraft lignin with enhanced solubility as an active ingredient, and a use thereof, wherein the composition of the present invention is intended to promote the growth of plants and increase the yield. As such, it may be usefully used as a substitute for humic acid in agriculture.본 발명은 용해도가 증진된 크라프트 리그닌 또는 크라프트 리그닌의 펜톤 반응 산화물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 식물의 생장 촉진용 조성물 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 조성물은 식물의 생장 촉진 및 생산량 증대를 도모할 수 있으므로, 농업 분야에서 휴믹산 대체 물질로 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
