The present inventions pertains to methods for positioning and stabilising multiple separate containers using a wire rack (1) having a stabilising plane (2) comprising multiple meshes (5), the dimensions of the meshes (5) corresponding to the outer dimensions of the containers, by arranging each container in a mesh (5) of the rack such that the meshes enclose the containers to enable stabilising thereof. In particular, the invention pertains to methods using a wire rack (1) that allows variant positions of the supporting elements (6,6) with respect to the stabilising plane (2). The invention also pertains to a wire rack (1) for use in these methods.
