An underpants-type disposable nappy (1) is provided with: a crotch part (C) an abdominal-side part (A) and a back-side part (B) and a pair of side seal parts (S). The side seal parts (S) are formed such that: in a state prior to wearing of the nappy (1), in contrast to a state during wearing of the nappy (1), the side seal parts (S) extend linearly along a vertical direction (X) of the nappy (1) and, in the state during wearing, the side seal parts (S) extend in a meandering manner along the vertical direction (X) of the nappy (1). The side seal parts (S) are provided with joined parts extending along the vertical direction (X) of the nappy (1). It is preferable that unjoined parts are not present further outwards in a horizontal direction (Y) of the nappy (1) than the joined parts.
