Provided is a telemedicine support technique allowing a telemedicine support institution to be notified simply and immediately upon detection of a need for a patient in a medical institution to receive medical attention. Connected through a communication network (140) are a medical institution computer (110) located at the medical institution wherein the patient is present, and a support institution computer (120) located in the telemedicine support institution to which a medical specialist belongs. The medical institution computer (110) receives measurement data from a sensor (150) measuring biological information on the patient for the purpose of monitoring the state of the patient.
