An exercise assist apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode array attached to or detached from the skin of a user and having a plurality of electrodes； and a control unit, after applying measurement current by selecting one or more electrode pairs among the electrodes of the electrode array, measuring a resistant value of a path between the electrode pairs and storing a combination in which the measured resistant value is lower than a set resistant value. An electric signal is applied to an optimal stimulation position so the pain can be effectively suppressed even with a relatively small current.일 실시 예에 따른 운동 보조 장치는, 사용자의 피부에 탈부착 가능하고, 복수개의 전극을 구비하는 전극 어레이； 및 상기 전극 어레이의 복수개의 전극 중 적어도 하나 이상의 전극 쌍을 선택하여 측정 전류를 인가한 후, 상기 전극 쌍 사이의 경로의 저항 값을 측정하여 측정된 저항 값이 설정 저항 값보다 낮은 전극 쌍의 조합을 저장하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
