The present invention relates to an RNA aptamer specifically binding to apoptosis regulating kinase-1 (ASK1), wherein the ASK1-specific RNA aptamer of the present invention shows specificity and high affinity for an ASK1 protein to have an effect of selectively blocking an apoptosis signal of the ASK1 protein which is an initiator of cell death, so that the ASK1-specific RNA aptamer can be useful as a therapeutic agent for degenerative brain diseases and a therapeutic adjuvant, which prolong the time available for nerve regeneration therapy in an area of brain injury.본 발명은 ASK1(Apoptosis regulating kinase-1)에 특이적으로 결합하는 RNA 앱타머에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 ASK1 특이적 RNA 앱타머는 ASK1 단백질에 대하여 특이성 및 고친화성을 나타내기 때문에, 세포사멸의 개시자인 ASK1 단백질의 세포사멸 신호를 선택적으로 차단하는 효과를 가지므로, 뇌손상 부위에서 신경재생을 위한 치료 가능시간을 연장시키는 퇴행성 뇌질환 치료제 및 치료보조제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
