The invention relates to a method for making a three dimensional dentalprosthesis containingmultiple cross-sectional layers, comprising a. applying wax-like polymerizablematerial onto asupport surface to form a multi-layered, uncured prosthesis, each layer of theprosthesis beingformed by an ink-jet printer jetting the polymerizable material onto thesupport surface； orapplying wax-like polymerizable material into a powder bed comprisingparticulate powdermaterial to form a multi-layered, uncured prosthesis； each layer of theprosthesis being formedby an ink-jet printer jetting the polymerizable material into a layer of theparticulate powderso that the particulate bonds in selected areas； b. placing the prosthesis inthe mouth of apatient and shaping the prosthesis over a targeted area by applying sufficientpressure； c.removing the shaped prosthesis from the mouth； and d. irradiating theprosthesis with curinglight so that the prosthesis fully cures and hardens.
