A protective mask for the eyes for sporting use, comprising a frame (2) having at least one internal surface (7) delimiting at least one opening (3), an optical system, (4) configured as a lens, associable to the frame (2) for closing the opening (3), and equipped with at least one first wall (11) and at least one second wall (12) spaced apart from one another and reciprocally connected, wherein the frame (2) comprises retaining members (8, 9, 10) configured to engage and internally retain, by means of shape coupling, at least one peripheral portion of the at least one first wall (11) and of the at least one second wall (12) of the optical system (4).
