To provide a spontaneously crimping conjugate short fiber which is a conjugate short fiber comprising a first component and a second component, wherein the first component comprises linear polyethenylene having density of 0.90 g/cm3 to 0.94 g/cm3 and low density polyethylene as ingredients, the second component comprises 50 mass% or more of polyethylene terephthalate and/or polybutylene terephthalate as ingredients, upon the fibers cross-section, those two components are so arranged that the first component occupies at least 20% of the surface of the fiber, and the center of gravitational position of the second component is deviated from the center of gravitational position of the fiber, and therefore, the conjugate short fiber can have at least one kind of crimp selected from wavy crimps and helical crimps.
