The present invention relates to a method for improved spatially resolved determination of magnetic particle distribution in an area of examination, where the changes in spatial distribution, the concentration and/or the anisotropy of these magnetic particles in the area of examination are monitored. The invention further also relates to magnetic particle compositions having improved magnetic imaging properties for use in the method according to the invention. The present invention further also relates to a method and an apparatus having improved spatial resolution in the method according to the invention by application of a high frequency field to increase the spin temperature of the spin systems of the magnetic particles.Linvention se rapporte à un procédé perfectionné de détermination par résolution spatiale de la répartition de particules magnétiques dans une zone dexamen, selon lequel les changements dans la répartition spatiale, la concentration et/ou lanisotropie des particules magnétiques dans ladite zone sont surveillés. Linvention se rapporte également à des compositions de particules magnétiques présentant des propriétés dimagerie magnétique améliorées et destinées à être utilisées dans le procédé selon linvention. Linvention porte en outre sur un procédé et un appareil présentant une résolution spatiale améliorée dans le cadre du procédé selon linvention et comprenant lapplication dun champ de fréquence élevée pour accroître la température de spin des systèmes de spin des particules magnétiques.
