PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant-vitalizing agent excellent in safety, having crop- functionality such as pest control effect and obtained by compounding a specified saccharide and a specified extract in vinegar. SOLUTION: This plant-vitalizing agent is characterized by having crop- functionality which is obtained by compounding an oligosaccharide and a rice bran extract in vinegar. The other subject plant-cultivation method can be performed by using the plant-vitalizing agent compounded the oligosaccharide and the rice bran extract in vinegar. The crop-functionality can be selected from inhibition of weed, inhibition of germination, lodging relief, disease control, pest control and prevention of injury by continuous cropping. The vinegar can be one or more selected from a brewed vinegar, a synthetic vinegar, an aqueous acetic acid solution and the brewed vinegar can be a spirit vinegar, a black vinegar, a grain vinegar, a rice vinegar, a fruit vinegar, an apple vinegar, a grape vinegar and a mixture of one or more selected from brewed vinegars except the grain vinegar and the fruit vinegar.
