PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas water hater capable of effectively preventing a failure in the ignition of a gas burner by preventing an insect prevention cover itself from disturbing air taken into a burner tube even if it is used for a long period of time, in the gas water heater wherein the gas burner comprises an injection nozzle for injecting a fuel gas supplied from gas piping, the burner tube for taking the fuel gas injected from the injection nozzle from a gas inlet with air and for releasing it as a mixed gas from a burner port, and the insect prevention cover covering the gas inlet, in the gas water heater wherein the combustion exhaust gas generated at the gas burner is allowed to exchange heat with water in a heat exchanger to supply hot water.SOLUTION: The insect prevention cover can be displaced and moved between a closing state for covering the gas inlet and an opening state not covering the gas inlet, and an opening motion for displacing and moving the insect prevention cover from the closing state to the opening state is executed in interlocking with a hot water supply permitting operation by a device operating section.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】ガスバーナで生成された燃焼排ガスを熱交換器内の水へ熱交換させて出湯を行うガス湯沸器であって、ガスバーナは、ガス配管から供給される燃料ガスを噴射する噴射ノズルと、噴射ノズルから噴射された燃料ガスを空気とともにガス入口から取り込み、混合ガスとして炎孔から放出するバーナ管と、ガス入口を覆う虫侵入防止カバーとを備えたガス湯沸器において、長期使用しても、虫侵入防止カバー自体がバーナ管内への空気の取り込みの妨げにならず、ガスバーナの点火不良を効果的に防止し得るガス湯沸器を提供すること。【解決手段】虫侵入防止カバーは、ガス入口を覆った閉覆状態とガス入口を覆っていない開放状態との間で変位移動が可能であり、虫侵入防止カバーが前記閉覆状態から開放状態へ変位移動する開放動作は、器具操作部による出湯許可操作に連動して実行されること。【選択図】図1
