PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a menopausal disorder improving agent, food and drink, and supplements for reducing symptoms occurring in the menopausal period without risk of side effects. The grape seed extract includes a flavan-3-ol monomer, a flavan-3-ol monomer gallate type, a flavan-3-ol oligomer, and a flavan-3-ol oligomer gallate type. The climacteric disorder improving agent, food and drink, and supplements containing various catechins and containing the grape seed extract of the present invention as a main component suppress the deterioration of the intestinal flora that occurs during the climacteric disorder period, and enteric bacteria. It is effective for alleviating the symptoms of weight gain and the symptoms of decreased glucose tolerance caused by the deterioration of the flora.
