PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic composition which is excellent in spreading property even without containing silicone, can sufficiently obtain smoothness when washing, and is excellent in homogeneous feeling of finish and finger combing when finishing.SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic composition of the invention contains (A) fatty acid ester of a branched chain fatty acid and an alcohol (e.g., isononanoic acid isononyl and 2-hexyldecyl isostearate, triisostearate acid diglyceryl, and the like) (B) high polymerization polyethylene glycol and (C) as a water soluble polymer compound, polymer or copolymer of dimethyldiallyl quaternary ammonium salt (e.g., dimethyldiallylammonium chloride/acrylamide copolymer, and the like), the composition not containing silicone substantially.
