The invention relates to a fragrancing process that includes the following steps: (1) the direct application to human keratin materials or to clothing of a fragrancing composition (A) comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one fragrancing substance； the said composition producing a fragrance with a head note and/or a heart note and/or a base note； (2) the ingestion or placing in the mouth of at least one composition (B) comprising at least one edible fragrancing substance capable of producing an odour from within the body out to the human keratin materials； the said edible fragrancing substance being chosen such that the composition (B) produces a fragrance having at least one note in common with at least one of those of the fragrance produced by composition (A)； the order of the steps not being critical, and the application of compositions (A) and (B) possibly being simultaneous or at different times. Composition (B) may comprise: a) at least one composition (Bi) comprising, in a support suitable for oral application, at least one edible fragrancing substance (1), which can, after ingestion or placing in the mouth, produce from within the body out to the human keratin materials a perfume whose diffusion reaches its maximum at a time of less than 4 hours 30 minutes, and b) at least one composition (B2) comprising, in a support suitable for oral application, at least one edible fragrancing substance (2) which can, after ingestion or placing in the mouth, produce from within the body out to the human keratin materials a perfume whose diffusion reaches its maximum at a time of greater than or equal to 4 hours 30 minutes.
