The present invention relates to a sower for planting seeds in a ridge provided between furrows, and covering soil. The sower of the present invention comprises: a body unit (10) having a frame (11) having a size across at least a ridge, and a travelling unit (15) rolled to be moved along a furrow on the frame (11)； a supply unit (20) having a hopper (21) for accommodating a plurality of seeds in the body unit (10) and a feeding unit (25) for selecting and discharging only a set number of the seeds at a lower end of the hopper (21)； a sowing unit including a sowing drill (31) for planting discharged seeds at a lower end of the supply unit (20) in the furrow, and a sowing bucket (32) for excavating a place where the seeds are planted on the sowing drill (31)； an operating unit (40) including a horizontal movement rod (41) for horizontally moving the sowing drill (31) to a set position at which the seeds are to be planted between the body unit (10) and the sowing unit (30), and a vertical movement rod (42) for vertically moving the sowing drill (31) to be inserted into the furrow； and a soil covering unit (50) including a soil covering rod (51) for covering the place where the seeds are planted at the rear of the body unit (10) and a pressing roller (55) for tramping the covered place.본 발명은 고랑 사이에 마련된 두둑으로 씨앗을 심고 복토하는 파종기에 관한 것으로, 적어도 두둑을 가로지르는 크기를 가진 프레임(11)과, 위 프레임(11)상에 고랑을 따라 이동되게 구름 운동하는 주행유닛(15)을 구비하는 본체부(10)； 위 본체부(10)상에 다수의 씨앗을 수용하는 호퍼(21)와, 위 호퍼(21)의 하단에 설정된 수의 씨앗만을 선별하여 배출하는 공급유닛(25)을 구비하는 공급부(20)； 위 공급부(20)의 하단에 배출되는 씨앗을 두둑에 심어주는 파종드릴(31)과, 위 파종드릴(31)상에 씨앗이 심어지는 자리를 굴착하는 파종버킷(32)을 구비하는 파종부(30)； 위 본체부(10)와 파종부(30) 사이에 씨앗이 심어질 설정 위치로 파종드릴(31)을 좌우로 이동시키는 수평이동대(41)와, 파종드릴(31)을 두둑내로 진입되게 상하로 이동시키는 수직이동대(42)를 구비하는 작동부(40)； 위 본체부(10)의 후방에 씨앗이 심어진 자리를 복개하는 복토대(51)와, 복개된 자리를 다지는 진압롤러(55)를 구비하는 복토부(50)；로 구성된다.
