PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air purification unit while sufficiently developing a dust collection function, a bacteria removing function and a deodorization and decomposition function.SOLUTION: This air purification unit (30) includes a casing (31) arranged upstream of an indoor fan (8) in an indoor unit (12), an ionization part (40) for charging the dust in air to be treated, a dust collection part (50) for electrically collecting the dust charged in the ionization part (40), a discharge part (80) for forming an active seed which removes the bacteria of the dust collected in the dust collection part (50), and a deodorization and decomposition part (70) for collecting the odorous components in the air to be treated and decomposing the active seed formed in the discharge part (80).
