The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting a colloidal cyst in a brain by image processing, a method therefor, and a computer-readable recording medium recorded therewith. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: an image input unit for receiving an original image captured by MRI or CT, and outputting the same on a screen； an image converting unit for converting the original image into a gray scale image； an image preprocessing unit for filtering the gray scale image to generate a filtered image； an image dividing unit for dividing the filtered image for each level to correspond to a multi-level threshold value set in stages with respect to a gray level, and generating a divided image in which a portion divided by a level corresponding to a cyst is divided； and an outline generating unit for detecting a boundary of the cyst using a boundary of the divided image, and displaying the boundary of the cyst on the filtered image.본 발명은 이미지 처리에 의한 뇌 내 콜로이드 낭종 검출 장치, 이를 위한 방법 및 이 방법이 기록된 컴퓨터로 판독 가능한 기록 매체에 관한 것으로, MRI 또는 CT로 촬영된 원본 이미지를 입력받아 화면에 출력하는 이미지 입력부； 상기 원본 이미지를 그레이 스케일(Gray scale) 이미지로 변환하는 이미지 변환부； 상기 그레이 스케일 이미지를 필터링하여 필터링 이미지를 생성하는 이미지 전처리부； 상기 필터링 이미지를 그레이 레벨에 대해 단계적으로 설정된 멀티레벨 임계값에 대응하여 레벨별로 구분하고, 낭종에 해당하는 레벨로 구분된 부분을 분할한 분할 이미지를 생성하는 이미지 분할부； 및 상기 분할 이미지의 경계를 이용하여 상기 낭종의 경계를 검출하고, 상기 필터링 이미지에 상기 낭종의 경계를 표시하는 윤곽선 생성부를 포함한다.
