Method of production of lead 212 of medical quality, comprising: - the production of lead 212 by decay of radius 224 in a generator containing a solid medium to which radius 224 is attached, subsequently - the extraction of lead 212 from the generator in form of an aqueous solution A1, and characterized in that it further comprises: - the purification of lead 212 contained in aqueous solution A1 from the radiological and chemical impurities also contained in this solution by means of a liquid chromatography on a column which contains a stationary phase that is capable of selectively retaining the lead 212 present in the aqueous solution A1 when the aqueous solution A1 is brought into contact with the stationary phase, purification comprising the following steps: a) loading of the stationary phase with the aqueous solution A1, to allow lead 212 present in this solution to be retained by the stationary phase; b) washing the stationary phase of step a) with an aqueous solution A2, to remove the radiological and chemical impurities it contains from the stationary phase but without removing lead 212; subsequently c) elution of lead 212 from the stationary phase washed from step b) with an aqueous solution A3, to recover this lead in the form of an aqueous solution.Metodo de produccion de plomo 212 de calidad medica, que comprende: - la produccion de plomo 212 por desintegracion de radio 224 en un generador que contiene un medio solido al que se une el radio 224, posteriormente - la extraccion del plomo 212 del generador en forma de una solucion acuosa A1, y que se caracteriza por que comprende ademas: - la purificacion del plomo 212 contenido en la solucion acuosa A1 a partir de las impurezas radiologicas y quimicas tambien contenidas en esta solucion por medio de una cromatografia liquida en una columna que contiene una fase estacionaria que es capaz de retener selectivamente el plomo 212 presente en la solucion acuosa A1 cuando se pone la solucion acuosa A1 en contacto
