PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized lawn mower having an electric motor of a small rotational frequency, and with a high efficiency in collecting grass and excellent operability.SOLUTION: The motor 50 as a power supply for the lawn mower includes: a rotator 53 which integrally rotates with an output shaft 52 and a stator 54 fixed to a housing 30 wherein the arrangement is made in a manner that the output shaft 52 is disposed about vertically. The rotator 53 has a disk-shaped coil disk on which a plurality of annular coils are disposed in the circumferential direction around the output shaft 52 as seen in the axial direction of the output shaft 52. The stator 54 has a magnet 71 which generates a magnetic flux passing through the coil disk in the axial direction of the output shaft 52, an upper yoke 72, and a lower yoke 73. A rotary blade 33 for mowing grass is attached to the output shaft 52 of the motor 50. A power transmission mechanism 46 is attached to the motor 50 and a fan 37 for feeding the mown grass, so that the speed of the power from the motor 50 is increased and the power is transmitted to the fan 37.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】電動モータの回転数が小さく且つ集草効率の高い芝刈機を提供する。また、小型で操作性に優れた芝刈機を提供する。【解決手段】芝刈機の動力源であるモータ50は、出力軸52と一体に回転する回転子53と、ハウジング30に固定された固定子54とを有し、出力軸52が略鉛直となるように配置される。回転子53は、出力軸52の軸方向視において出力軸52を中心に円周方向に配列した略環上の複数のコイルが設けられた円板状のコイルディスクを有し、固定子54は、コイルディスクを出力軸52の軸方向に通過する磁束を発生するマグネット71と上ヨーク72および下ヨーク73とを有する。モータ50の出力軸52には、芝草を刈るための回転刃33が取付けられる。また、モータ50と刈り取った芝草を送るファン37とには、動力伝達機構46が取付けられ、モータ50からの動力が増速してファン37に伝達される。【選択図】図3
