If there are ptosed strands of m. platisma, thickness of subcutaneous fat above it, not exceeding thickness of subcutaneous fat in adjacent areas, platysmotomy is performed. If the thickness of adipose tissue in the lower one-third of the face, neck and chin is 70 % or more of soft tissue thickness, local removal of excessive subcutaneous fat is performed in the areas of disturbed contours. If observing soft tissue atrophy, the presence of jowl, 80 % and more consisting of ptosis skin and muscles, surgical correction of atrophied soft tissues is performed.
