PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual packaging absorbent article capable of preventing or reducing discomfort due to wrinkles or the like which may occur on a hip hold part and capable of fitting to a body preferably.SOLUTION: There is provided an individual packaging absorbent article comprising: an absorbent article having a body comprising a liquid permeable surface sheet, a liquid impermeable back surface sheet, and an absorber between them； and a packaging sheet for packaging the absorbent article. The body has a prescribed length and width in a cross direction and a direction orthogonal to the cross direction respectively, and the absorbent article has a hip hold part. The portion has a first salient part which contains a width maximum part from a cross direction center line, a second recess part and first recess part which are adjacent to front and rear parts of the salient part in a side part area of the body. The absorbent article is folded so that a ridge-folding line is formed on the side part area of the hip hold part.
