PURPOSE: An LED device for agriculture and a controlling method thereof are provided to operate an LED module without a programming operation after power recovery by including a memory unit in a control unit. CONSTITUTION: An LED module(100) includes a red LED, a green LED, and a blue LED. A control unit(200) controls the wavelength, illuminance, and a wave motion of light emitted from the LED module. The control unit includes a memory unit(210) which has a nonvolatile memory. A remote module(300) remotely transmits and receives a control signal to and from the control unit.본 발명의 농업용 LED 장치는, 적색광을 발하는 적색 LED, 녹색광을 발하는 녹색 LED, 청색광을 발하는 청색 LED, 백색광을 발하는 백색 LED가 배열되어 색상이 구분되는 광을 발산하는 LED 모듈； 상기 LED 모듈의 온/오프 상태, 조도, 색상 및 점멸 속도를 제어하는 제어부； 를 포함한다.
