A method of delivering therapy to a vein. In one embodiment, the method includes the following steps: inserting a structural sheath into the vein, the structural sheath being configured to prevent collapse of the vein due to spasm or via the administration of tumescent anesthesia advancing a vapor delivery shaft into the catheter sheath positioning a vapor delivery tip of the vapor delivery shaft distally of the catheter sheath and delivering vapor to the vein through the vapor delivery tip to, e.g., shrink the vein with the vapor. The invention also includes a vapor delivery catheter system adapted to perform the method.Linvention concerne un procédé de délivrance dun traitement à une veine. Dans une forme de réalisation, le procédé inclut les étapes suivantes : insertion dune gaine de structure dans la veine, la gaine de structure étant configurée pour empêcher leffondrement de la veine dû au spasme ou via ladministration dune anesthésie tumescente avancement dun arbre de distribution de vapeur dans la gaine du cathéter positionnement dun embout de distribution de vapeur de larbre de distribution de vapeur de manière distale par rapport à la gaine du cathéter et distribution de vapeur à la veine par lembout de distribution de vapeur par exemple pour rétrécir la veine avec la vapeur.
