The present invention relates to a new non-toxigenic strain of Aspergillus flavus, that has been isolated in Italy and assigned to VCG IT6, and also to compositions comprising the same, and to the use thereof as a biocontrol agent against the contamination by aflatoxins produced by toxigenic strains of Aspergillus flavus and/or Aspergillus parasiticus. In addition, the present invention also provides a method for preventing and/or reducing and/or eliminating the contamination by aflatoxins produced by toxigenic strains of Aspergillus flavus and/or Aspergillus parasiticus in the main crops that can host the strain.La présente invention concerne une nouvelle souche non toxinogène d'Aspergillus flavus ayant été isolée en Italie, et qui a été attribuée à VCG IT6, des compositions comprenant celle-ci et l'utilisation de cette souche en tant qu'agent de lutte biologique contre la contamination par des aflatoxines produites par des souches toxinogènes d'Aspergillus flavus et/ou d'Aspergillus parasiticus. De plus, la présente invention concerne également un procédé visant à prévenir et/ou à réduire et/ou à supprimer la contamination par des aflatoxines produites par des souches toxinogènes d'Aspergillus flavus et/ou d'Aspergillus parasiticus, dans les cultures principales pouvant héberger cette souche.
