Disclosed is a method of treating diseases. traumas. as well as consequences of traumas of the central nervous system. and a method for stimulating neurons regeneration. which involves the use of a peptide glutamyl-aspartyl-arginine. Also disclosed are a pharmaceutical composition containing the above peptide and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a method of stimulating the regeneration of neurons by administering to a patient a pharmaceutical composition containing the above peptide in the dose of 0.01-100 μg/kg of body weight at least once a day during a period necessary for attaining the therapeutic effect. such administration being performed parenterally.
