PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melanin formation inhibiting agent for preventing the melanin formation, and to provide a cosmetic agent, a skin preparation for external use, a quasi-drug and an anticancer drug.SOLUTION: The melanin formation inhibiting agent contains baeomycesic acid.
