Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Polymethylmethacrylat-Knochenzement. Das Verfahren beinhaltet die Schritte, ein Zementpulver bereitzustellen, das mindestens ein partikuläres Polymethylmethacrylat oder Polymethylmethacrylat-Copolymer der Siebfraktion kleiner 100 µm, einen Initiator, und mindestens ein in Methylmethacrylat unlöslichen, partikulären oder faserförmigen Additiv enthält, wobei das Additiv ein Aufsaugvermögen größer gleich 0,6 g Methylmethacrylat pro Gramm Additiv bei Raumtemperatur besitzt, ferner eine Monomerlösung bereitzustellen, die mindestens ein Methylmethacrylat und einen Aktivator enthält, und In-Kontakt-Bringen des Zementpulvers und der Monomerlösung , wobei das Mischen ohne Anwendung von Scherkräften erfolgt. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Knochenzement-Kit zur Verwendung in einem solchen Verfahren sowie ein durch ein solches Verfahren herstellbarer Knochenzement.The invention relates to a polymethyl methacrylate bone cement.
