PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffin laying device capable of laying many coffins, the device being means to lay dead bodies housed in coffins under cooled conditions for a predetermined period.SOLUTION: The coffin laying device comprises a main frame and a lifting frame. The lifting frame moves vertically within the main frame by a drive mechanism and comprises an upper stage 21 and a lower stage 26. In the case of housing a coffin 50 on the upper stage 21, the lifting frame 20 is placed at a lower position and in the case of housing the coffin 50 on the lower stage 26, the lifting frame 20 is placed at an upper position.
