The infrared camera includes an adjustable imaging field of view and can be arranged at a plurality of angles of view with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical portion. The infrared camera is connected to a processor configured to monitor the surface temperature of the patient based on the output of the infrared camera. The processor is further configured to control at least one of the imaging field of view of the infrared camera and / or the angle of view of the camera during MRI imaging of the patient.
