To provide a small bottle for medicine or an ampule for medicine almost free from leaching of alkaline components from the inner surface.SOLUTION: A small glass bottle is manufactured in a step (a) for rotating a glass tube 10around an axis 12 in the longer direction, a step (b) for heating the glass tube locally from one side using at least one burner to at lowest the softening temperature (E) of glass, a step (c) for pressing at least one shaping part 28a to the heated region 16 from the lateral side to reduce the diameter, and a step (d) for separating the glass tube using a burner.
