The mounting recess can have an internal threaded bore for receiving a fastener to secure the scan body onto the impression coping. The scan body can have an exterior peripheral wall extending between opposing first and second ends. The peripheral wall has a first flat surface and a second flat surface. The first flat surface and the second flat surface have different dimensions.
