The object of this invention is a cheese substitute comprising as ingredients water, dried fruits and a coagulant, characterised in that the ratios of the ingredients by weight of cheese substitute are as follows:- water from 50% to 80%,- dried fruits from 5% to 40%,- coagulant from 0.1% to 10%, and- natural or artificial flavours from 0 to 5%,containing 5% to 30% of proteins, from 2% to 30% of fats and from 1% to 30% of carbohydrates, from the total nutritional value.
