Acidic oral compositions having calcium contents and effective pH-values inthe area indicated by grey~ tone in Fig. 2 are non-erosive in saliva andcapable of stimulating saliva production, even in "dry mouth" patients. A newmulti-step test method for determin~ing erosive potential in saliva has beenused for identifying the compositions.
