Disclosed is a milking parlour including a robotic manipulation device with a robot arm and a milking stall provided on a platform moveable relative to the robotic manipulation device. The milking parlour has an extendable element with which the robotic manipulation device is moved. The extendible element is extendable in the direction of movement of the platform so as to prevent the milking stall from moving beyond the reach of the robotic manipulation device too rapidly.
