PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm gear driving device capable of performing an accurate motion of medical care instruments such as abdominoscope, endoscope and monitor or the like, for example, to a prescribed position or a positive fixing at a prescribed position in response to a position of a surgical operation bed, a patient and medical care worker such as a doctor.SOLUTION: This invention comprises a driving device main body 12 rotatably storing a worm gear 24 a rotational driving mechanism 20 connected to the worm gear 24 to rotate the worm gear 24 and a rack gear storing part 42 associated with the driving device main body 12 and movably guiding and storing a rack gear 50 engaged with the worm gear 24.
