PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic in which the effect of a poorly water-soluble aromatic compound is sufficiently exhibited.SOLUTION: The cosmetic contains the following components (1) and (D): (1) a composition containing a poorly water-soluble aromatic compound comprising, in an aqueous medium, (A) one or more poorly water-soluble aromatic compounds selected from triclosan and isopropyl methyl phenol, (B) one or more dihydric alcohols selected from ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 1,3-butanediol, dipropylene glycol, and polyethylene glycol, and (C) one or more trihydric or higher alcohols selected from glycerin, diglycerin, and triglycerin, wherein the mass ratio [(B)/(C)] of the component (B) to the component (C) is 1.5 to 10； and (D) one or more components selected from a deodorant component, a bactericidal component, and a feel improving component.SELECTED DRAWING: None
