PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device which can automatically specify a measurement position with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic diagnostic device, a cross section kind identification unit 32 identifies a cross section kind of a tomographic image formed by a tomographic image formation unit 16. A standard position calculation unit 34 calculates a standard position being the most standard position to be set as a measurement position of Doppler measurement by analyzing the cross section image in accordance with a cross section kind. A measurement position setting unit 26 sets the measurement position at the calculated standard position. In the first form, calculation processing of the standard position is executed before receiving an automatic setting request of the measurement position. With this, since the standard position is already calculated at the time of receiving the request, the measurement position setting unit 26 can set the measurement position to the standard position immediately after receiving the request. In the second form, calculation processing of the standard position is performed after receiving the automatic setting request of the measurement position.
