PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition comprising a substance which adjusts growth of a plant for exhibiting a flower stalk formation suppression action to a plant, however which has a small aging action of a leaf relative to (1R, 2R)-methyl jasmonate, or a substance which has bulb thickening enhancement action, however which has a safety property at which the substance can be dispersed to soil, as an active ingredient, and a method using the same substance.SOLUTION: The problems can be solved by a flower stalk formation suppression composition including as an active ingredient, (1S, 2S)-methyl jasmonate or a plant bulb thickening enhancement composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明の目的は、植物の生長を調節することにより、植物に対して抽だい抑制作用を有しつつも、（１Ｒ，２Ｒ）－ジャスモン酸メチルに比べて葉の老化作用が小さい物質又は鱗茎肥大促進作用を有しつつも、土壌に散布することができる程度の安全性を有する物質を有効成分として含有する組成物及び該物質を使用した方法などを提供することにある。【解決手段】上記目的は、（１Ｓ，２Ｓ）－ジャスモン酸メチルを有効成分として含有する、植物の抽だい抑制用組成物及び植物の鱗茎肥大促進用組成物などにより解決される。【選択図】図４
