The method comprises administering a compositioncomprising an effective amount of verapamil and a pharmaceutically acceptableexcipient to a subject, wherein the verapamil is capable of binding to atleast oneof a receptor selected from the group consisting of orexin receptor 1, orexinreceptor 2, somatostatin receptor 2 and dopamine D2L receptor of the subject.
